Our self-guided Artisan Road Trip offers a wonderfully eclectic blend of quality handiwork from renowned artists and artisans throughout our Capital Region and beyond.

If you prefer making up your own itinerary, a year-round palette of options awaits you—pottery, woodworking, weaving, painting and more…leading you to galleries, local exhibits, artist studios, artist demonstrations and hands-on workshops. But, if you would rather have a thoughtfully-planned getaway already waiting for you to simply arrive, click on one of our ByWay Packages in the bar (right).

Either way, you can stay at historic bed-n-breakfasts, modern inns or a luxurious hotel. Explore hidden treasures on side trails though our scenic rural areas, then walk around the stimulating art and cultural cityscape in metropolitan Harrisburg. The Arts…Larger than Life First Fridays
On the First Friday of each month, the charming city of Williamsport comes alive as dozens of downtown-venues participate in a monthly celebration of culture and the arts. Local galleries showcase a varied array of regional artistic talents, while the sound of live music drifts through the air.

Vineyards, Valleys & Views
Travel backcountry roads through some of Pennsylvania’s finest valleys…from Buckwheat Valley through Hunters Valley to a rural arts destination of national acclaim, and then back along the mighty Susquehanna for spectacular riverside views along Rt 15 and on a hillside among the vineyards.
