Saturdays throughout the year: The Garden Gallery (10 North Hanover Street, 717-249-1721), along with Nancy Stamm’s Galleria, Fly Away Home and Downtown Antiques present "First Saturdays–Art in Carlisle!" – A continuing series in the heart of historic downtown Carlisle, featuring original paintings, drawings, ceramics, jewelry, and hand-made cards. All shops' hours on First Saturdays are 10 am – 5 pm, are in easy walking distance and are also surrounded with many wonderful, locally owned, restaurants and coffee shops.
October thru November 8: Mechanicsburg Art Center School & Galleries – Keystone National 2008 – Reception on Sunday, September 28 from 2-4 pm – Artcraft Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA – FREE – 717-697-2072.

Saturday, October 4: Perry County Council of the Arts – Newport Canal Day features live musical entertainment, art & craft vendors, an Open Antique Market, and food vendors. Also, enjoy children's activities and visit the many shops of downtown Newport. The event is organized by Newport Revitalization & Preservation Society and PCCA, in conjunction with the Newport Borough. Sunday, October 5: Perry County Council of the Arts – Sunday Arts Hour at the historic Fetter House in Landisburg, 3 pm. Refreshments following the concert. Free and open to the public. 717-567-7023.

Saturday & Sunday, October 25 & 26: Hunters Valley Winery– Fall Open House and Craft Fair from 11 am to 5 pm. Taste wine, have snacks, mingle with wine-loving friends, stroll through craft booths—wood and needle craft, jewelry, honey, pottery, flint tools, candles, sandwiches and desserts—at the new winery location above the vineyard (just south of Liverpool, PA). Live music from 2 to 4. Relax on the lawn and enjoy the spectacular view. Registration deadline for crafters is October 20; please call 717-444-7211 for details.
