May and June: "Ikebana" Radius, HACC Gallery & Museum Shop – Ikebana is Japanese flowering arranging. The vessel used for the arrangement is just as important as the flowers. All work in this showcase is available for purchase. 300 North Street (ground floor of The State Museum of Pennsylvania), Harrisburg PA.

June: "Artist of the Month" Perry County Council of the Arts – Jonathan Frazier exhibiting his oil paintings in the PCCA Gallery, One S. Second St, Newport – Join us for an opening reception on Friday, June 13 from 7-9 pm. Refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public. Regular Gallery hours: Mon - Fri 9 to 4 and Sat 9 to 1.

June: Radius, HACC Gallery & Museum Shop – Featured Craftsman, Kevin Lehman – Kevin is a ceramicist from Lancaster, PA. His work is unique in pattern with sticking color. Radius features both his stoneware and redware. Join us for an Open House on Sunday, June 8 from 1-3 pm. 1300 North Street (ground floor of The State Museum of Pennsylvania), Harrisburg PA. Free and open to the public.

Saturday, June 7: The Garden Gallery (10 North Hanover Street, 717-249-1721), along with Nancy Stamm’s Galleria, Fly Away Home and Downtown Antiques present "First Saturdays–Art in Carlisle!" – A continuing series in the heart of historic downtown Carlisle, featuring original paintings, drawings, ceramics, jewelry, and hand-made cards. All shops' hours on First Saturdays are 10 am – 5 pm, are in easy walking distance and are also surrounded with many wonderful, locally owned, restaurants and coffee shops.

Saturday & Sunday, June 7 & 8: Hunters Valley Winery– Spring Open House and Craft Fair from 11 am to 5 pm. Taste wine, have snacks, mingle with wine-loving friends, stroll through craft booths—wood and needle craft, jewelry, honey, pottery, flint tools, candles, sandwiches and desserts—at the new winery location above the vineyard (just south of Liverpool, PA). Live music from 2 to 4. Relax on the lawn and enjoy the spectacular view. Registration deadline for crafters is June 1; please call 717-444-7211 for details.

Sunday, June 15: Radius, HACC Gallery & Museum Shop – Ikebana Demonstration – 1-2 pm; $10 fee; registration required - visit www.hacc.edu, go to “Continuing Education”, Summer catalog; Ikebana is Japanese flowering arranging. The vessel used for the arrangement is just as important as the flowers. Radius will be highlighting these vessels for the months of May and June. Alice Hartman, member of The Harrisburg chapter of Ikebana International, will demonstrate Ikebana using vessels from the Radius showcase and talk about the history of the art. 1300 North Street (ground floor of The State Museum of Pennsylvania), Harrisburg PA.
